Personally I think about time a lot, it’s a strange and scary thing and it’s something none of us can change.
In my videos, I will be in every frame, is pretty much the same spot. I wanted this to give the audience a sense of similarity and consistency throughout the different screens. Just a young girl watching the world go by every day.
To really enhance this, I chose a very specific location for the central screen. I giant clock tower known as Herne Bay clock tower.
This clock tower is very old and I’ve always remembered in since I was a child. When thinking about time and what it meant to me, I pictured this very clock tower and pictured the long summer days spent by the sea.
The other two locations are fairly new in my life. The first screen by the river is one of the first places I went when I came to Farnham, now it’s a spot I often go to think and process.
